I SEE THE MOOM

This painting was a challenge, trying hard to project the fact that it was the moon, not just a round ball with lines going through it. My sister took this picture at night through the trees, I loved it. When I decided to paint it, I tried to show the different degrees of color, in gray tones.

The name comes from my childhood memories, not sure how or from whom my mom hear say this, but she would say when we saw the moon at night, "I see the moon and the moon sees me, God bless the moon and God bless me". I have repeated this to my children and my grand children as well. The painting is done in Oil on a 12 x 12 Gallery Wrap Canvas.

SYMPHONY OF SEAGULLS

My latest watercolor, Symphony of Seagulls. This painting not only was from a photograph take by my sister Julia but not knowing, she named it! I had emailed her the finished painting and her comment was, I can hear the symphony of seagulls and the clashing and splashing of the salty sea against the sandy seashore! Might I say she is an awesome writer and photographer.

We love going to the beach, Cherry Grove, NC each year. Between us we probably could wallpaper every room in both our homes with beach pictures and still have left overs. Oh, but you can never capture the same movement, once you see it, its gone! Same with life, enjoy and treasure each and every minute.
